In the mid nineties I was lucky enough, very early on in my career, to be given a contract by the Telegraph Colour Library to shoot stock images. There was a real sense of working together to produce and sell excellent work…I would travel and shoot they would edit and sell…it was, in my mind, a quite perfect arrangement. They were bought out by Getty Images and thus I found myself shooting for what was even then the largest agency in the world.

Eventually, in something of a ‘Walter Mitty’ moment, I realised that this faceless way of working no longer represented that which I had grown to love about photography and it was time to move on.
